Men's Tennis kicked of its 2012 season last week, putting two wins on the books--an 8-1 victory at home against St. Joe's-Brooklyn on April 3, and a 5-4 win against Brooklyn College away on April 7--and one loss against Pratt Institue on April 5 (0-9).
Sophomore
Phil London (New York, N.Y./Horace Mann) nabbed a Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference 'Rookie of the Week' nod following his performance last week, besting St. Joe's and Brooklyn opponents in singles and doubles matches. Against St. Joe's-Brooklyn, London took down his second flight opponents 10-3 and 10-5 in singles and doubles respectively, and defeated his Brooklyn College, while seeded second singles and first doubles
Sophomore
Aman Banerji (New Delhi, India/The Shri Ram School) was also recognized with a spot on the conference 'Honor Roll' as he put up wins against both St. Joe's and Brooklyn in fifth seed singles slot.
Next up for Men's Tennis is an away match against Webb Institute this Saturday, April 14, at 11am, followed by a home match on Monday, April 16, against Culinary Institute at 6pm.
