EDGEWATER, N.J.—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis was defeated by Yeshiva University, 9-0, in a non-conference match at Binghamton Racquet Club on Wednesday.
Sarah Lawrence (0-2) dropped its second match of an early 2014 season, while Yeshiva (4-1) won its fourth-straight match.
In doubles action, SLC junior
Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School) and rookie
Aidan O'Brien (Mansfield, Conn./Edwin O. Smith) won one game in their loss at the No. 1 position, while YU's Dimitri Lebedyev and Robby Rubin swept the No. 2 pairs position.
Warkus went on to win three games in a loss at No. 1 singles, while O'Brien won one game in his match at No. 2. The Maccabees ran the table with shutouts in the remaining singles slots.
Sarah Lawrence enters spring break winless, but the Gryphons return to the court on Wednesday, April 2, to host York College (N.Y.). Action at Andrews Tennis Courts begins at 6 p.m.
