ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis fell to Bard College, 8-1, in a non-conference match at Stevenson Courts on Sunday.

Bard (3-5) picked up critical match points by sweeping the doubles matches, yielding only one game to the Gryphons.

Sarah Lawrence (1-6) scored its only point in the match at the No. 1 singles position. Senior Nate Currier (San Rafael, Calif./The Branson School) rebounded from a first-set loss and forced a tiebreaker in the second set. After succeeding by a three-point margin, Currier channeled the momentum into a super-tiebreaker win, 5-7, 7-6(4), (10-8).

In the No. 2 match, junior Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School) won eight games but was eventually overcome, 6-4, 6-4.

The Gryphons host St. Joseph's College Brooklyn in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at SPORTIME Lake Isle in Eastchester, N.Y.
