NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis players Nate Currier (San Rafael, Calif./The Branson School) and Jonah Blake (Newport Beach, Calif./Spanish River (Fla.)) have been selected as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the period ending April 20, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Currier posted a perfect 6-0 week at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions, helping SLC to win all three of its matches. After he blanked his St. Joseph's opponent, he defeated his opponent from Vaughn, 10-5, to improve to 4-0 in league play. Currier also added a straight-sets win against Lehman. The SLC senior also won three matches with partner Elliott Warkus (Waimea, Hawai'i/Parker School), sweeping foes from St. Joseph's and Vaughn.

Blake picked up three HVIAC wins in a 3-0 week for the Gryphons. After winning the No. 5 match against St. Joseph's, he won his third straight singles match, 10-2, in the No. 4 position against Vaughn, improving to 3-1 in conference play. Blake went 1-0 in doubles matches, teaming with Adam Neufeld (Bronx, N.Y./The Calhoun School) to defeat their opponents from Vaughn, 8-1.

Sarah Lawrence men's tennis returns to action on Thursday, when the Gryphons travel to face Pratt Institute in a non-conference match. On Saturday, SLC and Pratt take to Andrews Courts in Bronxville for their annual HVIAC showdown.
