BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—In the Gryphons' final regular-season match of their 2014 schedule, Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis was upended by Cooper Union, 9-0, in a non-conference match at Andrews Courts on Sunday.
While the match marked the final home appearance for senior
Nate Currier (San Rafael, Calif./The Branson School), three Gryphons made their collegiate debuts, including
Jeff Bernstein (Los Angeles, Calif./Buckley School),
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) and
Brendan O'Connell (Andover, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover).
In the No. 1 doubles match, SLC fell behind, 6-1, but Currier and junior

Cooper Union rounded out the doubles matches with 8-0 wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
In singles play, Currier and his No. 1 singles opponent broke serve five times in the first six games. Cooper Union eventually pulled away for a 10-4 win.
At No. 2, Warkus picked up a late game to stave off a shutout in his 10-1 loss. In the No. 3 match, classmate
