ITHACA, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's swimming broke a total of six team records at the 2016 Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association Championships, hosted by Ithaca College, Wednesday through Saturday.

IN SHORT
SLC finished the meet in 13th place with 219 points. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute won the team title with 1,445 points.

400 FREE RELAY
The Green and White 400 yard freestyle relay scored the Gryphons' only team points on the fourth and final day. Senior Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) teamed with rookies Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island), Jack Langland (Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa) and Dawa Lama (New York, N.Y./The Beacon School) to complete the event in 3:22.85, good for 15th place. Martinez's opening split of 48.54 seconds was a season best, and the effort broke the program relay record, rounding out a weekend including six new team bests.

Martinez has posted provisional qualification times to next month's NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. He will await announcement of the championship field on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
