BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis played host to Skyline opponent Mount Saint Mary College at Andrews Courts on Saturday. In a critical match in a race for fourth-place in the league, MSMC came away with a 9-0 sweep.

DOUBLES
The Knights started off the match by giving the Gryphons a challenge in doubles play. At No. 3 doubles, rookie
Garrett Hsuan (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard H.S. Early College) and senior
James Berry (New York, N.Y./Kent) picked up three games in their match, eventually falling, 8-3. The SLC No. 1 & No. 2 pairs only managed one game apiece in their respective 8-1 losses.
SINGLES
In the first wave of matches, SLC's top player, rookie
Matias Sanchez (Córdoba, Argentina/Academia Arguello), won three games in the No. 1 singles match. Despite winning four games in the opening set of his match, rookie
Ian Gonzalez (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) eventually yielded the No. 3 singles match and the clinching point for the Knights. MSMC also picked up the No. 4 singles match in straight sets.
Senior
Juan Sucre (Caracas, Venezuela/ASFM (Monterrey, Mexico)) fought to hold on to his No. 5 singles match. In the final game, the two opponents dueled through seven deuce points before the Gryphon eventually fell, 6-2, 6-3. Hsuan and Berry won four games each at No. 2 and No. 6 singles, respectively, as the match came to an end following 6-2, 6-2 matches.
