BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis scored its second-straight shutout victory, blanking York College (N.Y.), 9-0, in a non-conference match at Andrews Courts on Tuesday. With the victory, SLC has won four of its last five matches.

DOUBLES
The Gryphon pairs made quick work of the three doubles matches, giving up just four games across the three courts.
SLC's No. 3 pair were first to finish. Rookie
Alex Wah (New York, N.Y./Riverdale Country / Bay Sch. of S.F.) and senior
James Berry (New York, N.Y./Kent) blanked their Cardinal opponents, 8-0; the two lead the team with three wins as a pair. At No. 2 doubles, senior
Juan Sucre (Caracas, Venezuela/ASFM (Monterrey, Mexico)) and sophomore
Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) were soon to follow, putting away an 8-0 triumph for their first win together.
The Green and White completed the doubles sweep with a win in the No. 1 match. Rookies
Matias Sanchez (Córdoba, Argentina/Academia Arguello) and
Garrett Hsuan (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard H.S. Early College) gave up a game early but won four in a row to close out an 8-1 win, their first as a partnership.
SINGLES
Sucre was the first individual to finish a match. He dropped the first game of his first set at No. 3 singles but rebounded to win the set and the match, 6-1, 6-1.
The team-victory clinching point came from Sanchez at No. 1 singles. After fighting his way through a 2-2 tie in the first set, he won 10 straight games to win his fourth match of the season, 6-2, 6-0. The point gave the Gryphons a 5-0 lead in the team scoring and certain victory over the Cardinals.
Shortly after, No. 6 Gryphon
Ben Dougherty (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) closed out his match, 6-1, 6-1. The junior won five-straight games in the second set to improve to 2-0 in solo play.
Next on the court, Berry played the No. 4 match for the first time this season and dominated. He picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory for his third win in his last four matches.
Rookie
Ian Gonzalez (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) fell behind early in the No. 2 singles match. He had his serve broken and trailed 3-1 in the first set. Gonzalez rallied and won the next 11 games of a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
Wah rounded out the lineup in the No. 5 match. The rookie Gryphon lost on serve in the first game of the match but came back to win the next four games, including two break points. Wah closed out the first set before winning the first three games of the second en route to a 6-2, 6-3 victory to complete the sweep.
