HARRISON, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's tennis doubled up St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 6-3, in a Skyline match at Lifetime Athletic Club on Saturday. With the win, the Gryphons improve to 5-5 overall and 3-3 against league opponents.

IN THE RECORD BOOK
SLC's five wins match the program's most victories since 2001. The team most recently picked up five wins after going 5-7 in 2013. All five victories in 2016 have come against NCAA Division III opponents, while only two wins in '13 were against NCAA foes.
DOUBLES
The Gryphons' sweep of the three doubles matches proved to be a vital part of Saturday's win. At No. 1, rookies
Matias Sanchez (Córdoba, Argentina/Academia Arguello) and
Ian Gonzalez (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) cruised to an 8-1 victory to improve to 3-2 in Skyline matches.
The No. 2 duo of rookie
Garrett Hsuan (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard H.S. Early College) and sophomore
Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) had little trouble in closing out their 8-2 win. The partnership is currently 3-0 on the season having played against three conference opponents.
At No. 3, senior
James Berry (New York, N.Y./Kent) and rookie
Alex Wah (New York, N.Y./Riverdale Country / Bay Sch. of S.F.) fought to an 8-5 win. As a team, Berry and Wah are 4-1 on the season, having won three straight matches.
SINGLES
The Bears gave the Gryphons some trouble in individual matches, as the two teams split the points 3-3. Sanchez moved to 5-5 on the season with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Garibaldi also won by a 6-1, 6-2, margin, taking the No. 4 match to get back to .500 at 4-4 on the year. Berry also picked up a singles win, earning the No. 5 point with a 6-3, 6-3 straight-sets victory, his fifth triumph of 2016.
