Sarah Lawrence Athletics Hall of Fame
Dr. Clarion Johnson '72 is a current member of Sarah Lawrence's Board of Trustees who served as captain of the men's basketball team throughout his time as a student. He was named student body president during his time at Sarah Lawrence and was a student member of the SLC General Committe, remaining involved on campus in a variety of ways throughout his time at the school. Dr. Johnson was also a member of both the Committee on Student Work and the Black Student's Association before graduating and moving on to attend Yale University's School of Medicine, earning his Master's Degree in 1976. On the basketball court, Dr. Johnson's main contributions were assisting teammates, primarily Marco Fleischer, and grabbing rebounds, a skill set that many current-day coaches would envy in any student-athlete.
