Sarah Lawrence Athletics Hall of Fame
Megan Angelini ’07 was a cornerstone of Sarah Lawrence women’s tennis during the early 2000s, helping lead the program to a Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference championship in 2005. A three-time All-Conference selection, Angelini compiled an impressive 38-7 career singles record and captured the 2005 conference doubles title alongside teammate Sarah Merchlewicz. Her success on the court earned her the prestigious Gryphon Award in 2007, recognizing her excellence and leadership within SLC athletics. Angelini credits her time as a Gryphon for teaching her the balance between intellectual pursuit and physical passion, and the power of teamwork that makes competition meaningful. Today, she serves as Assistant Director at the American Society for Microbiology Press and holds a PhD in molecular biology and virology from UC Irvine, continuing to embody the curiosity, dedication, and joy that defined her years as a student-athlete.
