Sarah Lawrence Athletics Hall of Fame
For more than two decades, Mary LeVine served as a driving force behind the growth and evolution of Sarah Lawrence College Athletics. As Director of Physical Education & Athletics, LeVine played a pivotal role in shaping the identity of the department, guiding its expansion from humble beginnings into multiple vibrant and competitive programs. Her leadership and vision helped lay the foundation for generations of Gryphons to come, culminating in memorable milestones such as the opening of the Campbell Sports Center and the development of the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference (HVMAC). A recipient of the Alice Stone Ilchman Service Award and a Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in softball, LeVine’s legacy is defined by dedication, mentorship, and an unwavering belief in the power of teamwork. Her message to the SLC community to be true to yourself, work hard, and lift up those around you continues to embody the spirit she instilled in Gryphon Athletics.
