Sarah Lawrence Athletics Hall of Fame
Kathryn "Kitty" O'Sullivan was a valuable member of the Sarah Lawrence community and a main contributor on the school's HVWAC Championship-winning volleyball team in 2012. O'Sullivan was a gifted student whose connection to those around her was special. She was an academic decathlete in high school and continued to be devoted to her studies throughout her time as a Gryphon.
On the court, she led the Gryphons Volleyball team to their first championship and was named HVWAC's Most Valuable Player of the tournament. She led the team in blocks that year while finishing second in kills and third in digs, contributing heavily to the success of the Gryphons throughout the entire season.
O'Sullivan won HVWAC Player of the Week honors that season as well as being named to the HVWAC Honor Roll multiple times. In addition to her conference-wide recognition, O'Sullivan was named SLC Athlete of the Week repeatedly by coaches during her time as a Gryphon.
O'Sullivan passed away in 2017 at the age of 24. Accepting the award on her behalf will be her parents, Patrick and Erin O'Sullivan.
